Do you enjoy gardening?  Do you enjoy flowers, nature and birds? Why not come to a meeting of the Turkey Creek Garden Club?

Our History

The Turkey Creek Garden Club was formed by a group of ladies on the steps of the Turkey Creek Country Club back in May of 1949.  For over 50 years our club has been providing education and beautification of the landscape for the people of the Merrillville area.  We now are the sponsors of a Junior Garden Club at John Wood School, in Merrillville, where the children are building a secret garden.  We also are active members in our district and state organizations.  We plant at our meeting place, visit nursing homes with baskets of flowers and tray favors and donate to local charities.

If you love flowers, gardening, conservation, the environment, birds and butterflies and want to know more, think about attending a meeting.  Everyone is welcome.
We do not discriminate.  Any age, race or gender is always
welcome.

Call Barbara at 219-663-4922 for more info
about meeting times and agendas.

The Turkey Creek
Garden Club meets
the second Wednesday of the month at
John Woods School cafeteria 6100 E. 73rd Ave., in Merrillville
Our meetings start around 3:30 pm.

Carrot

We usually have a speaker address the club on subjects ranging from horticulture, birds, conservation, or some other nature related subject.  There is always time for any questions about any problems you are having with your garden.
