Felicia Middlebrooks

Born in Gary, Indiana on May 29, 1957.
Felicia Middlebrooks Ms. Middlebrooks graduated from West Side High School and Purdue Calumet University earning a bachelor's degree in communication. She worked as a steelworker to finance her education.  She worked at WBAA-FM, WJOB-AM, WGVE-FM and WLTH-AM before coming to Chicago. Felicia worked at CBS TV and WBBM Radio simultaneously, then joined WBBM Radio full time in 1983. She has been working as the co-anchor of WBBM's Morning Drive Program for 22 years. Ms. Middlebrooks is the first female and African American in the nation to co-anchor mornings for CBS Radio. She has won numerous awards for leadership and journalism and published her first novel called Souls of my Sisters in 2001. She also lectures and runs her own company called Saltshaker Productions.  In 2006, her new book "Anointed for the Call" will be published by Moody Publishing. It is the personal account of Lisa Jefferson, the woman who took Todd Beamer's call just before United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001.
She currently works for Channel 2 News in Chicago.
