Davage Minor

Born February 24, 1922 in Ruleville, Mississippi.
Raised in Gary, Indiana.
Died March 14, 1998.

Mr. Minor was a championship basketball player.  He graduated from Froebel High School, class of 1941.  He is credited with introducing the jump shot in basketball.  He was the fourth African American player in the history of the NBA.  He played for the Baltimore Bullets and Milwaukee Hawks in the 1950's.  He was also a Harlem Globetrotter.
