Welcome to the Lake County Retired Teachers Association (LCRTA)
website! Chartered May 27, 1965, we are an organized group of retired
teachers who taught or live in Lake County, Indiana.
The LCRTA is
an affiliate of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association (IRTA) and
National Retired Teachers Association (NRTA). Any retired teacher,
administrator, or surviving spouse who is receiving a pension from the
Indiana State Teachers Retirement Fund may become a member of the LCRTA
upon payment of annual dues of $10 by March 1 of each year.
Yearly dues
for IRTA are $30, renewable each September or deductible automatically
from the September check. Any active teacher, spouse, friend, or
relative may also become Associate Members of the IRTA. Yearly dues are
$5 for Associate Membership; Associate Membership in the county
organization is $10 yearly. Dues for IRTA and LCRTA remain separate and
must be paid separately.

and develop a continuous program of retired teacher
welfare
designed to improve the economic and social status of retired teachers.
