Small Claims Courts

Small claims court handles cases informally; therefore you do not need to hire a lawyer. If a corporation or entity is suing or being sued for more than $1500 then an attorney is required.

If you have a small claims case, make sure you bring with you any witnesses or evidence that you want the judge to see or hear. Exhibits are typically things like contracts, invoices, receipts, pictures, videotapes or written summaries.

Police CarFACT:   Alcohol accounts for more traffic fatalities than any other cause.
