Animal Services Hammond Animal Control
It is the duty of Animal Control to coordinate and promote the adoption of abandoned animals, and to house stray and unwanted animals in a clean and safe environment.
Hammond Animal Control provides 24-hour service for injured, stray animals, enforces animal welfare laws, investigates complaints of cruelty to animals, and quarantines stray animals that have bitten humans.

Program Description
-Contains 32 dog cages, 16 cat cages, 4 quarantine cages.
-Stray quarantines.
-Animals held for three days to await owner contact before placing animals for adoption. Exceptions are made for sick or injured animals.
-Handles stray dogs and cats, all dead animals and complaints about violations in Hammond only.
