Corrion "Corey" Davis, 12 years old, became the only African-American student to win a national title this past June/July weekend in Indianapolis at the National Junior Forensics League Tournament. He is the 2012 champ in poetry interpretation. His program entitled "A Montage of Life" utilized the poetry of Chi State Prof. Haki Madhubuti, Langston Hughes, and Rudyard Kipling. |
